Purposes of the processing activity:
Fulfilment of the requirements of §106 SGB Buch IV.
Application for A1 certificate from the social insurance agency for business trips of employees and teachers of the HWR Berlin
Legal basis of the processing activity:
The processing is necessary for the fulfilment of a legal obligation pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c DSGVO in conjunction with. §106 SGB Book IV.
Categories of personal data:
Business trip data (address in the country of residence, country of destination, travel period, place of employment in the country of posting).
University data (company number, name, legal form, address, company contact details) Categories of recipients:
FU Berlin (FU Berlin – order processing in wage matters)
Social insurance institution (Social insurance institution)
Health data (insurance number, responsible health insurance/pension insurance)
Master data (title / name / nationality, name, birth details, address, activity (Prof. o. MA))
Data transfer to a third country:
There is no planned transfer to third countries.

Rights of the person affected by the processing
According to Art. 13 – 23 DSGVO, the person affected by the processing has rights which can be asserted against the HWR Berlin. An overview of the most important rights is listed below:
- Duty to inform when personal data is collected pursuant to Art. 13 DSGVO.
- Duty to inform if the personal data was not collected from the data subject according to Art. 14 DSGVO

- Right to object to data processing where the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority pursuant to Art. 6 (1) e DSGVO or where the processing is necessary for the purposes of safeguarding the legitimate interests of the controller or a third party pursuant to Art. 21 DSGVO.
- Right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning him or her or similarly significantly affects him or her.
- Right to be notified under Article 34 of the GDPR of a personal data breach.

Consequences of not providing:
A1 certificate cannot be issued.
