Information on processing activity:

Purposes of the processing activity:
All participants who are involved in the incubator’s projects are maintained in a database. These are funding projects by third-party donors. The CRM enables the management of participant data, offers options for statistics and analysis of the data as well as for marketing and public relations. A SaaS service from Centralstation is used for this.

Purposes:
1. Management of participant data and implementation
– maintenance of all data of participants in projects of the start-up center
– export to third-party funders of certain customer data required by the third-party funder using the Eureka software
2. Reporting statistics and analysis (also against the funders)
– classification of teams, Projects, time periods and partners
– Record coaching hours per participant + reporting
– Regional evaluation to prove to third-party donors that certain quotas for regional distribution (countries) are being adhered to.
– Analyzes and statistical evaluations of all entered data
3. Marketing / public relations
– Send invitations to events
– Select customer groups for targeted targeting
– Newsletter / automatic newsletter dispatch
– Interface to the incubator website, so that registrations for events, for example, are written directly into a customer data record

There is no planned transfer to third countries.

Storage period of personal data:
Purpose 1: Management of participant data and implementation of the funding program

–> Revocation of consent, non-use of the data, but a maximum of 10 years

Rights of the person affected by the processing:
The person affected by the processing has rights in accordance with Articles 13 – 23 GDPR that can be asserted against HWR Berlin. An overview of the most important rights is listed below:

• Obligation to notify in connection with the correction or deletion of personal data or the restriction of processing in accordance with Art. 19 GDPR
• Right to data portability in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR
• Right to object to data processing, provided that the processing is in accordance with Art. 6 (1) e GDPR is necessary for the performance of a task that is in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority or the processing is necessary in accordance with Art. 6 (1) f GDPR to safeguard the legitimate interests of the person responsible or a third party in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR.
• Right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
• Right to notification according to Art. 34 GDPR of the person affected by a violation of the protection of personal data.

Consequences of non-provision:
Information required to process the funding programs must be provided. Otherwise, no funding is possible. All consent-based data processing is voluntary and does not have to be carried out.
